Timing Belts (Cambelts) – Dundalk

The expression ‘better safe than sorry’ applies perfectly to cambelts (sometimes also known as timing belts).

It’s important to take notice of the manufacturer’s recommended replacement intervals for cambelts. They last for years, but it’s wise to keep an eye on them because, should the cambelt snap or break when running, the engine is likely to suffer significant damage, and it will also mean the vehicle cannot be driven.

McKeown Auto Services recognises that this potentially poses major problems for many motorists in the Dundalk area and is pleased to offer a full range of professional cambelt services, including preventative measures. Our workshop is equipped with advanced technology, and our technicians have a wealth of experience, which means we can inspect your cambelt’s condition and the condition of the components around it so that we can let you know whether it’s time to replace the belt itself, or if there are ways to look after your car better that will help it, and the cambelt, last longer and run better than they might otherwise do.

If you have the slightest suspicion that there might be something wrong in your vehicle’s engine bay, for example, a ticking noise, vibrations, or less power than normal, then please seek our advice without delay.

And because McKeown Auto Services is a leading independent garage in the Dundalk area, it means that you can confidently make enquiries and we will be happy to offer our guidance and advice – with no obligation whatsoever.
